New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez appears healthy as he participated in his first OTA yesterday. According to ESPN New York, one Jet player said Sanchez practiced well. “He looked really, well, sharp. Made some nice throws against our defense.” Sanchez underwent off season knee surgery and had been restricted to 7 on 7 drills and yesterday was his first 11 on 11 drills of the teams OTA schedule.

Steve Wyche of NFL.com released his first team rankings of the off season and ranks the Jets at #10. Wyche believes the Jets are setting themselves up for a slide in 2010 ranking the Chargers, Ravens, Colts and Bengals from the AFC ahead of New York.

Jets RB LaDainian Tomlinson has put his days in San Diego behind him, and is now fully focus on becoming an integral part of the 2010 New York Jets. A very good read from the New York Times.

Former New York Jets quarterback Joe Namath has never shied away from the controversial. From wearing pantyhose in a commercial to conducting sideline interviews just hammered, he’s just about touched all the bases in the bizzaro world. Now he’s gone from bizzaro, to just plain creepy.

[picappgallerysingle id="7643099"]Broadway Joe just celebrated a birthday this past weekend. What better way to celebrate? Post a few vids on You Tube.

What’s up with Joe? Half way though this video I was wondering where the potpourri was at. The Yanni mood music. What will the next video contain, feng shui decorating tips? He claims in the video that he wants to live to be 100, perhaps these videos are his way of rolling out PR for a new late night tv show where he’ll read your cards for you. Far out dude.

The New York Jets are on a mission in 2010 to become #1. Well aside from wanting to be the Super Bowl Champions, the defensive side of the ball is gunning to be known as the #1 defensive unit of all time. LB Bart Scott told the media last week, “You try and be the No. 1 defense ever. Why not? Why wouldn’t you try and be the Number 1 defense ever?”

With offseason acquisitions of CB Antonio Cromartie and DE/LB Jason Taylor added to an already impressive unit, the Jets might just be on the road to #1.

Here is a slide show of last weeks OTA.

Now that the 2014 Super Bowl has been awarded to the New Meadowlands Stadium, but whats in a name? Millions. According to the NY Times, the stadium’s co-occupants are taking a hard look at “two or three” international companies about acquiring the naming rights to the stadium.
